Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American actor-producer and stage actress is known for playing in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in acting at the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actress as well as a producer and director. She is employed in film and television. She started her career acting in the theatre but then proceeded to make appearances in numerous TV shows, both mainstream and independent films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of the epic BET series The Book of Negroes for which she not only received praise from critics but also a number of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Film. In 1995 she made her acting debut with The Tempest as Ariel. The stage credits she has received include the Broadway performance of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to film, she is most well-known for her role in movies such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. On television her regular role in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her high praise.
